Not exactly. Attar reacts with your individual skin chemistry and body heat, so the same oil can smell slightly different from person to person. This is completely normal, and it’s part of what makes attar feel more personal than a mass-produced spray perfume.

Darker attars, particularly oud-based ones, can leave a faint mark on light-coloured fabric, so we’d suggest applying to pulse points on skin rather than directly onto clothes where possible. If you do want to scent clothing, rub a drop or two between your palms first and apply sparingly to a small, hidden area first.
